that are uncovered from past military conflicts, from now to the future

Our goal is to identify every Canadian soldier's remains that are uncovered from past military conflicts, from now to the future.

The Centre for Missing soldiers' Identification is actively involved in the research and identification of fatalities from past military conflicts that Canada has been involved. Currently we are working to identify individuals from World War I and World War II. The Centre has a team of volunteers who research various aspects of the identification process from archaeologists, anthropologists, forensic scientists, odontologists, historians and genealogists.

Currently The Centre has established two databases, one for the human remains found in France, the second, a database of DNA profiles from living family members. To identify a missing soldier we compare these two databases. When a match is found, we have a positive identification.
